HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR ADMISSION?

To enter the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UVic, you must meet UVic's general admission requirements as described in the University Calendar. In addition, you must receive at least a B in both Principles of Math 12 and Physics 12, and have completed Chemistry 11 or 12.
We invite applications from high school graduates, transfers from other UVic programs, transfers from colleges or universities, and mature students. The Faculty of Engineering has developed an innovative bridge program, operated in conjunction with Camosun College, for students who have completed technology programs at B.C.I.T. or Camosun and now wish to proceed to a full B.Eng. degree.
After admission, you will spend your first year studying engineering fundamentals (or the engineering core), the second and third year focused on required computer or electrical engineering courses, and the last year in specialized courses in either electrical or computer engineering. Remember, these studies are rounded out by well-paid co-op education work terms beginning after your first year.
