ECE Students Placed Third in ASUS Xtion PRO Developer Challenge

UVIc ECE students Ethan Gill, Stephen Lau, and Kylee Lothrop won third place in the ASUS Xtion PRO Developer Challenge, an international competition. Their entry 'American Sign Language Translator' is an extension of their 499 Design Project. A user's gesture in American Sign Language is captured by the Xtion PRO camera, processed, and translated into text. More details of the competition can be found here.
