UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA POSTING FOR CUPE 4163 SPECIALIST INSTRUCTIONAL

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

SENG 475 Marker¹ Advanced Programming Techniques for Robust and Efficient Computing	Hourly Rate: $34.72²
Term of Appointment from: May 7, 2025 to August 1, 2025
Total hours: 40-50*	Average weekly Hours: 3-4
* Depending on enrollment, this position may not be available. Hours to be confirmed on appointment.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the course instructor, perform some or all of the following:

Mark course assignments and/or exams; keep records of student marks; provide course instructor with records of student marks; assist in the invigilation of the final exam; and help with other related tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Registered as a Master's or Ph.D. student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Be proficient in modern C++ with excellent programming skills. Familiarity with any of the following would be an asset: Git, CMake.
