SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Under supervision of course instructor, prepare and demonstrate lab experiments, help students work through lab experiments or projects. The majority of the time will be spent in the labs advising students on their design projects. The remaining time will be divided between marking assignments, giving feedback to students, leading tutorials, and other duties related to the delivery of the course, as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
 
Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in Engineering. Registered as a Master or Ph.D. student in Engineering or an acceptable equivalent. Candidates need to be outgoing and creative, enjoy spending time with students, and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English. Must be proficient in programming control systems using languages such as C, C++, or Python. Training specific to the course requirements will be provided.

Preference will be given to candidates who have practical experience in:
- troubleshooting basic electronic circuits and devices, e.g. resistors, capacitors, transistors, LEDs, sensors, and motors.
- engineering design in a teamwork environment or have taken the Design Engineering Mentorship Program (DEMP) offered by the faculty.


Other criteria considered include the career and/or pedagogical value a particular position will provide to the graduate/undergraduate student, the student's preferences, and other sources of graduate student financial support being received. The Department Appointment Priority Policy provides priority to Graduate Students in their academic Department or School before others.
